There are three philosophies of investing. You can optimize for: 1- great teams or 2- great markets or 3- great solutions At seed-stage (<10 people), I'm now firmly a believer in the "invest in great teams" approach. They seem to move mountains to fix for #2 and #3.

Wisdom derived from years of experience is superior to logic, but what you’ve written is logical. A great team can change a bad market or solution, but a great solution in a great market without a great team will always eventually fail.

Yes! That’s exactly it. Changing market or solution is sometimes impossible when your company gets bigger — but early on it can be done.

Good teams can pivot late to adjacent areas. Good teams also know to test early new ideas before it becomes too late.
