Hold up. I haven’t been to Iran, but I’ve known some Iranians and I know some things. Apparently, in a poll 6% of Iranians drank booze in past year and we could probably expect this number to be too low because alcohol is banned. Iran sells China a lot of oil and depends on China

For a lot of manufactured goods. For example I knew a Chinese woman who went to Iran in a shawl to sell them busses from Liaoning. Finally, China may not get along with Muslims generally, but I’ve found Shia Muslims and Iranians in particular to be very different from others.

In fairness to you, the wiki article says there are few Chinese people in Iran and some of those restaurants are Iranians run and owned.
