There are three philosophies of investing. You can optimize for: 1- great teams or 2- great markets or 3- great solutions At seed-stage (<10 people), I'm now firmly a believer in the "invest in great teams" approach. They seem to move mountains to fix for #2 and #3.

For sure. IMO the founding team is a constant. They're either special or not. Been lucky enough to see this play out in many ways.
