I love the general sense of renewal and reset the end-of-year gives. The optimism fluctuates year-to-year and some years really do suck, but sometimes a marker telling us “you’re here and still going” helps. Wish I could bottle this feeling up for later use. Happy new year.
We need a Chinese New Year style berak with like 10 days off. This work on - work off thing is ridiculous.

America will adopt Singles’ Day in the future imo, but a 10 day national holiday would be fine by me.
