Back to hosted Wordpress (yay @LiquidWeb!).
As kludgey as @WordPress is, it just works and that's what matters to me.

It wasn't either. Sorry my comment was a non-sequitur. I was just trying to host an html file on a website and it was surprisingly hard to do that.
