      Network effects are hard to break BUT.... I think there’s a window here because goodreads is a Web 1.0 product. So if you do an “instagram for books” by being mobile first, there’s an opportunity.

      An interesting model is to be what Stocktwits is for public market investing. Also: can you make it easy to populate the information in it through Amazon/etc integration? (I.e. suck out all my purchases quickly so I don’t have to manually enter them.)

      I would try: 1. Mobile app required 2. Genius the music site, but for books 3. Integrates with ebook readers 4. Can ocr photos of text The point is commenting on sections of books but yeah will be tough.
