I looked into this and that's what Amazon *said* was the plan. They ended up renting/leasing much less in DC, though perhaps they'll slowly scale it up. It's also worth noting that $ 1mm sqft in DC would house fewer employees than $1mm sqft NYC, I'm guessing.pic.twitter.com/MqdnqRsE38
