Mexico is inching towards becoming a failed state. If Mexico were willing, it might be politically and economically wise for Trump to go to war against the Cartels in Mexico.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-03/is-it-safe-to-travel-to-san-miguel-mexico-2019 …

You think the problem with the drug war is that it hasn’t been fought hard enough?

I don’t know what I’m talking about and
@PlanMaestro disagrees but, I would think you could fight it so hard in Mexico (with US help) that you could significantly cut down on the violence.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I think legalizing drugs is how you cut down on the violence. How many people have been killed over Xanax?

I’m not sure. But back to going all out in Mexico. What if we had poured all the military night and dollars we spent in Iraq into Mexico. What would it be like today.

What about Singapore and China? Drug possession is instant execution. A war torn hell’s cape?

FTR you can get drugs in Singapore (not recommending obviously) and you don't get executed for small possession, only for trader quantities. It might not be just about the laws but people having the option to make a living other ways. In SGP its easy to make money legally.

Another guy was saying that NAFTA contributed to the problem as it wiped out the chance to make money on small scale farms in meixco by removing trade barriers to high scale American farms. This created labor supply without anything to do...they went into drug trafficking.
