I don’t know exactly what she means but I think I agree with her? I don’t think we can ever manage to be race-blind, but USA, Canada, and Australia are melting pots and no white people should complain about non-white immigrants because of their skin color.

yeah, but even that's a weird way to put it. historically, white people have complained about other (not the right kind of) white people in the US. racializing the current immigration issue is a huge source of the problem to me

That said, I don’t want to see the cultures of Japan, Italy, Egypt...whatever to become melting pots. If those countries want to be countries of those people that’s their right, but not America’s (also I should probably add Brazil and a few others to melting pot countries)
