Respect to these Eastern European heroes, but the real reason is that if you're going to bust your ass to get into the Eurozone, you're not going to stay in low-salary Eastern Europe when, if you're already in Europe, you can easily go to high wage countries like France, UK, etc.https://twitter.com/PeterSweden7/status/1200822836484616194 …

We are not the US, we all don’t speak the same languages. You can’t move around that easily :)

I thought you could? There not free movement between countries in the Eurozone? I know Hungary has some restrictions but I believe that once you’re in Poland you can move to Germany quite easily as an immigrant no?

Yes, but I mean there is a communication issue, the same language like in the US does not unite us with English. So it's hard to move from Poland for example to France without speaking french If you are interested in the single market https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Services_in_the_Internal_Market_Directive_2006 …

Got ya. And if you’re from Ethiopia you’re going to try to find a country with an Ethiopian community. Eastern Europe doesn’t have as many immigrants so it attracts fewer.

Yes and that's why when Poland joined the EU, the ones that wanted to move went to England because they were speaking English https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_plumber?wprov=sfti1 …

Sad for Poland. I bet they lost a lot of good people. Though, when I went it seemed like they had plenty more.

At least, they are certainly sending money back home to help

True, but this pales in comparison to the value they bring to where they live.
