As you have done, Amazon also claims that we do not have the data necessary to flag fake reviews. However, nothing could be further from the truth. We not only have more data than Amazon on who fake reviewers are, but we spot fake reviews and fraudulent activity faster than them.

This is why Amazon’s own fake review team uses Fakespot daily to check their own system’s accuracy. Amazon also sends its customers to us when they can’t find third-party sellers who ripped them off with shoddy and counterfeit products.

In 2015, offering free product in exchange for reviews was allowed. We did it for these products, which still have "fake reviews".
