Thinking about buying Uber. I have some questions: 1. Can someone develop a kayak like app to price compare Lyft and Uber 2. Do smaller cities in the US only sustain one ride hailing service? 3. Has Uber started doing promos that the more a customer spends with Uber, the better
their discount? 4. Reclassifying drivers as employees from independent contractors increases costs but does it prevent drivers from moonlighting for Lyft? 5. What else am I missing?

Not sure. Locking drivers in as employees probably generate more value for them in the long run. At least they constrain /own a key asset aka drivers. Vs letting driver multi home

No moat is too strong, but they’re definitely more fedex/ups than Facebook/MySpace. There’s mixed info on whether their drivers becoming employees will also prevent them from working for Lyft at the same time. Will google more.

I bought a bunch of Uber a week or so ago. Seems cheap.

1. Perhaps, but no need. Most users open both apps and instantly have that info. 2. Yes. 3. superficial? 4. They can try, in their contracts, but likely won’t prevail in Court, so, no. (Many drivers do it now)
