their discount? 4. Reclassifying drivers as employees from independent contractors increases costs but does it prevent drivers from moonlighting for Lyft? 5. What else am I missing?
Thinking about buying Uber. I have some questions: 1. Can someone develop a kayak like app to price compare Lyft and Uber 2. Do smaller cities in the US only sustain one ride hailing service? 3. Has Uber started doing promos that the more a customer spends with Uber, the better

1. Probably, but why would they? It's really easy to compare the price of Uber and Lyft. It takes like 10 extra secs. I doubt a Kayak-like app would be successful b/c the comparison variables between Uber and Lyft are so few, unlike airlines/hotels.

I think you’re overestimating the average person. To do what you said: 1. Open app 2. Type address 3. Drop pin 4. Wait 5. Remember 3-4 digit price and time to pickup Do it again Compare time to pickup and price. Decide. Impossible when you’re late/rushing

Thanks. Uber’s comepetitive position is weird. Looks like a network effects company, but isn’t. We might get a duopoly in the US.

2. If go to market is basically people downloading the app then i dont see why would any place stick to either or. My firsthand experience rural places in upstate NY seem to have both at the very least.

1. google maps already integrated 2. Why? Same basic incentives to drivers to sign up for multiple platforms 3. Their rewards program sort of does this 4. You can make employees sign non-competes but they’re fighting employee classification in CA 5. If they don’t win driverless

I was short for the insider lock up. I think the company is severely overvalued still: the moat seems questionable and lots of regulatory risk. Check out a revenue and ebitda a chart by quarter That said, I quit the short because an ex-employee was a lot more optimistic.
