From the Ethiopians, who literally invented coffee. The coffee plant was native to Ethiopia, and the Ethiopians invented the whole process of harvesting, baking, grinding the beans and brewing them into coffee the drink. I’ve tried the Ethiopian coffee, substantially stronger.https://twitter.com/AndreDre1964/status/1197593334581088256 …

I think many erroneously believe coffee came to Europe through the Columbian Exchange since adoption was coincidental to that same period. Also the brilliant Juan Valdez ad campaign strongly associated coffee with South America in the US.

Oh, do they? I never know. That’s horrendously erroneous. I’m not a daily coffee drinker but I did read books on it.

I thought that before I learned that coffee came from Ethiopia. Coffee is also quite popular in South America so it seemed to make sense. Are Ethiopians Manchurian?

Spiritual Manchurians, surely. The legend of Prester John was applied to both (well, to the Mongols at least).

I want Augustus Manchurius over here to knight me as an honorary Manchurian. At 6'4" with a fierce spirit, I think I qualify.
