Little me always used to wonder why can't we have a China level competence? The devil was hidden in the basic differences: 1. Democracy vs Communist 2. Multi Religion vs Lil or No Religion
China has a pretty significant religious minority population and many languages/dialects just like India. I don’t know enough about India, but I think it’s more a system of government, culture, and not having the right policies problem.
