That's fascinating. So as soon as you start doing poorly you just quit to eliminate risk-taking negative psychology feedback loops? Do you still play? Fwiw, I know a bunch of famous poker players.

I haven't played in about 2 years. Been studying fundamental investing instead. Some guys like Ivey will quit incredibly fast. Like after losing one moderate sized hand. I played mostly on the internet so didn't socialize much with poker players.

A couple of good ones were in my fraternity and they introd me to others. Everyone was from the 2004 online poker boom cohort.
