We unconsciously assume the permanence of the "enterprise" software business, in which great salespeople sell crap software to clueless administrators. But that sort of thing can persist for a long time, then suddenly crumble. Not saying it will. But a promising spot to poke.

This phenomenon is not likely to end. That does not mean that startups should not go after legacy Enterprise businesses.
