But in all seriousness, since I first got here, many things have improved: - it's cleaner - people are more polite - big tech growth (i.e. alipay) - supply chain and quality improvement - way more patriotic That said, people still can't drive for shit.

Public transportation has gotten much better as well. Meanwhile in USA feels like we've mostly stagnated. We spend more time thinking about whether a Halloween costume is racist than building infrastructure.

Each time when I had to walk up the long stairs b/o forever broken NYC subway escalators, I wonder if our politicians in USA, most of them came from lawyers background, are not the same as those Chinese mayors who came from engineering background...
