Yesterday I was overcharged $800 at a restaurant, more than double the correct bill. This happens all the time across multiple industries. Why? - Americans can't do math? - Non-confrontational culture and fear of bargaining encourages overbilling? - Laziness? - Dishonesty?
Pretty good chance that this was what the guy was trying to pull on me yesterday. Group celebration. I felt like an asshole, but...hey don't screw me. There was a comment card in the receipt holder and I let th restaurant know, to my waiter's chagrin.

Yeah it feels weird but you gotta push back otherwise they keep doing it. I've seen people just go along here. Not with 2x though that's insane.
