At best, the paper packaging was made in Africa, the phone was assembled there, and the lithium and Cobalt was mined there, but African phone? C'mon now.

Yeah, I have to admit I'm skeptical as well of their claims that it's entirely made in Africa. Something just doesn't seem right given that it would likely be very expensive to produce those components in such small volumes and still be able to price the phone competitively.
