Did you grow up rich or in a two parent household? I don’t know how else you could explain such a facile understanding of poverty.

Was snarky, but I stand by it. A significant proportion of our population lives in self reinforcing negative feedback loops. Some people are beyond repair, but enough are not to deserve help.

So we agree that some people are broken beyond repair. You say that there are people who are not who just need basic income to get out of a bad feedback loop. If programs like TANF exist, why haven't they already broken out already? There are numerous temp. assistance programs.

Just so we're on the same page, your argument is that: UBI would be good because there are people who are not "broken beyond repair" who are trapped in a poverty cycle who can break out of it if we simply gave them some money.pic.twitter.com/4hzKJUk2Zm

But we're already giving them money, food assistance, childcare, free healthcare, and gov't mandated child support. And they're not getting it done.
