Universal basic income (UBI) sucks. We all get 24 hours, every single day, for years. If a person can't figure out how to trade that time for a living, or if they choose not to, giving them $1000 every month will only exacerbate their problems.

Was snarky, but I stand by it. A significant proportion of our population lives in self reinforcing negative feedback loops. Some people are beyond repair, but enough are not to deserve help.

A significant proportion of the population grows up with a single parent. Meaning there’s not enough time in the day to raise your child well and pay expenses.
