Universal basic income (UBI) sucks. We all get 24 hours, every single day, for years. If a person can't figure out how to trade that time for a living, or if they choose not to, giving them $1000 every month will only exacerbate their problems.

So we agree that some people are broken beyond repair. You say that there are people who are not who just need basic income to get out of a bad feedback loop. If programs like TANF exist, why haven't they already broken out already? There are numerous temp. assistance programs.
