Never understood how big the Buffett's "silver trade" was 97/98. Bought 160 m. ounches out of 260 m. "COMEX approved", 410 m. "reported and unreported" and 910 m. including family silver inventories. That was pretty interesting. Charlie's comments at the end were funny. Demand exceeded supply in Silver and supply was not flexible because A) It takes time to start supply, there's a lag B) Silver is produced as a secondary byproduct of copper or gold
