This is by an large correct. But I have to point out that Manchuria is relatively a high trust society. It is not uncommon in Manchuria that total strangers drink together in a bar or a restaurant. A Stranger may also knock your car window and ask how much your car is and wherehttps://twitter.com/Molson_Hart/status/1174317371026264064 …

Re: whites Agreed? Chinese culture spends a lot of time worrying whether others perceive it as rich. Conspicuous consumption, status events/holidays, and money conversation are examples. Chinese culture cares more about friends and family and less about strangers.

Your car dealership is. It’s completely normal and you’d better answer honestly. In Manchuria, a total stranger may also fat shame you and scold you in your face if you don’t play a game well or dance well. It is completely normal. Also Manchurians share food with strangers

Onboard planes and trains. Our such behaviors baffles sometimes scares the Chinese. This is a widely known and observed fact. There is a discussion board about this on Weibo, where Chinese people share their such first hand experiences and their shock.

I don't think it's a high trust society, but people are more open in Manchuria. More "willing to be embarrassed". More willing to talk to strangers, etc. Southern Chinese are much more closed up and afraid.

It is relatively a high trust society if you subtract communism. Because your other observations fits the characteristics of a typical high trust society. Being run over by a torrent of American made Soviet tanks is not our fault.
