Says a lot about management. Sometimes though, you need to let the wrong decision get made (when the stakes are small). This improves decision making in the long run of your reports.

Dimon wasn't implying that you shouldn't experiment & try things that might/might not work. Quite the contrary - he has been expressly in favour of that. Obviously with 280 characters on Twitter there is no room for one to include every caveat/qualification!

Yes, I know sometimes you need to take the risk of failure if it comes with the upside of a great new business, but that's not what I meant. I meant that sometimes you need to let your employees make the wrong decision so they and the company can learn from that.
