They are a mongol tribe I think. 汉族 is a political construct by the people’s republic. Are the Cantonese 汉族 or are the Shanghainese 汉族 these two groups are totally different, they couldn’t be both 汉族. Whereas the Manchurians are a coherent homogeneous group of people.
