It's the Cowboys, so they probably aren't smart enough to do that, they'll carry this albatross contract well after it makes any lick of sense to do so.

I thought the Cowboys had things figured out, when they were investing in a very good offensive line. Running back is extremely fungible - LeVeon Bell vs James Connor is just the most recent example, but teams pick up guys off the street to run for 100 yards

It's really not the money that could be a problem, I think. It's the salary cap implications. That's a lot of money to have tied up, and unless they are very creative, there will be a lot of dead money when they cut him. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott is up next...
