I've started 3 different businesses. The first two everyone thought I was nuts and they both succeeded. The third was universally loved and we can't get it to work haha.

I forgot which one, but there is a VC fund that doesn't invest in a startup if there is a 100% consensus between the partners that they should invest. If no one disagrees, this means the idea isn't ambitious/disruptive enough.

We signed up clients to do mineral royalty auditing. Sales is solved. The problem is that all our reimbursements are getting denied by the oil companies who have excuses. We can't disprove the excuses without litigation which is high cost without the guarantee of success.

And nobody has a shared interest? I'm guessing that you have looked into having a lawyer that will take a % of your cut? I can imagine that your litigation rate will decrease with more data and when they see that you can play ball.

Reimbursements are split 50/50 with client.
