It never belonged to japan. You can say it was probably a puppet state, or Japan had a strong influence on Manchurian internal affairs. But just as I wouldn’t call Japan or South Korea as United States, I wouldn’t call Manchuria Japan.

indeed you need to learn basic history, but even Manchuria belongs to Japan, it's not really a bad thing for us, therefore we aren't unhappy with it. Belongs to china, is too bad.
