Importers respond to Trump tariffs: "This is getting expensive as F" "Its a dark day for us" "And my farming family and this shit goes on longer." "Considering the RMB keeps dropping it’s a wash" (it's true that the RMB drops whenever this happens, but not enough to compensate)

Thanks for sharing. I’m here to learn like you. Valid criticisms/complaints. But what is the better solution? I think people with political & economic access to China have contributed to this situation. Must now recalibrate. No sympathy, but best wishes. Adapt or die, no?

I'm okay with it. I agree with you wrote. I wrote a little about this already here, but let me fully critique the Trump tariffs.https://twitter.com/Molson_Hart/status/1165011454371749888 …

I also understand and agree with many of the things you're saying about China. For sure they steal IP1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

The problem with the tariffs is that they: 1. Don't give anyone time to adapt and modify their supply chains 2. They're constantly in flux. Why would I change my supply chain if Trump will likely change his mind like he did with Mexico or China many times before.

3. The tariffs don't incentivize American manufacturing. They just disincentivize Chinese manufacturing. They basically just encourage importers to go to Mexico, Vietnam, etc. Is that better than China? Slightly, but not really "America First".
