According to a quick google search SVs gdp is 300B usd, canada 1.6, so i think it's concievable. If 10% relocates that'd show probably.
I'm not sure if those are the right stats to look at. Alphabet's SGA (proxy for salaries in SV) to revenue was about 17%. US-Canada trade (imports + exports) is 545 billion (US). 17% of SVs GDP is 51 billion. If 10% relocates, only 5 Billion?

Kind of hard to say, but it doesn't look like it would affect USD/CAD. HOWEVER! Like the article says, I bet it could really fuck with Toronto's housing market!

Yeah thats for sure, in fact it probably already does. 5 billion usd sounds about right, 10% of the jobs is 30-40k ppl making 100-200 a year on average.
