This is the most interesting K-12 finding I've seen in a while: Career and technical (CTE) high schools have very large positive effect for boys, according to this new study. For those attending CTE schools, earnings are 32% higher at age 23.http://www.edworkingpapers.com/ai19-112

I believe this is the largest, most robust paper on causality of CTE. It demands attention and replication in other settings. Hoping this team does a longer term follow-up to see if non-CTE ever catches up on earnings.

The other CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), usually caused by football, also has strong effect on the long-term outcomes of high school boys, albeit a negative one.
