“We live in the age of plastic, and it touches pretty much every part of the food industry. But how does it make sense to buy food that lasts for a few days when that plastic will do nothing but damage our environment for generations to come?”https://www.fastcompany.com/90384104/this-new-online-grocery-store-is-entirely-plastic-free?partner=rss&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=rss+fastcompany&utm_content=rss …
I also think that there's a good chance that microplastics are harming humans. However, besides replacing plastic with glass and plastic with waxpaper (many of the "paper products" we use in grocery are plastic coated), I'm not sure what can be done.

And in terms of environmental/human harm vs. benefit, it seems to me that mitigating fossil-fuels should be our focus over eliminating extremely useful and helpful plastics.
