Did you know that water is by far the most efficient way to move goods? I guess not, because you think that manufacturing is moving to central Asia.

Do you know what is the most efficient way to move supply chain goods? ROAD. RAIL. Cost of port infrastructure is way higher. And scale matters. Shipping goods inter-island is not shipping goods on container ships. Do you know anything abt shipping?

Imagine building a deep water port AND a shallow water port on each of the major islands in Indonesia, then the roads from said ports to factories , and individual island power infrastructure. In China, parts made in the north can be moved to the south in 2days.

Your boy is all about manufacturing in Africa and Central Asia, but hasn't realized that if that were the case, China probably would be making products in Gansu (they're not).

Gansu is a mineral rich region in China. Mining is the key industry. Manuf in West China is being developed in Xinjiang. Do a bit of reading before tweeting. The rail-link thru Central Asia to Europe and to Gwadar will provide the key logistical infra for region
