Thanks for the article but doesn't change my opinion. NYC had a big blackout 1-2 weeks ago. Indonesia is not as developed as China, but China's manufacturing jobs mostly cannot be automated and they will go to Indonesia before Central Asia, Africa, or the Americas.
Ethiopia has a chance for some types of goods. Both of those regions have done nothing for the past 50 years so no reason that cannot continue. I don't know anything about the spirit of the central Asian people but you need ports and supply chain proximity. It's got neither.
