Oddly, I was raised thinking I was an Irish-German American, but more than one genetic test has shown markers from the Levant. And I do know some relatives were in the Hansa trading across the Baltic Sea. Or perhaps my great^n grandmother was up to some shenanigans!
I've suspected that these genetic testing companies bias the tests towards genetic diversity. "I'm 5% Mongolian!" Is way more exciting and shareworthy than "As expected, 100% irish"
