I don't think that it is only the act of committing "bad behavior" (quotes used to your point) is what binds a business relationship. First, when two men get drunk, a non-declarative bond develops. It has nothing to do with thoughts like:

"I must keep a good relationship with this guy, otherwise he's going to out me for getting drunk and stumbling on the street" or whatever. Alcohol creates trust and in societies where rule of law and enforcement is weak, like China, that's enormously important.

I've gotten drunk enough with a Chinese counterparty to sway my body alongside his as he pissed all over a bathroom floor and that was enough to form a genuine (one hopes!) bond. I didn't need the threat of reporting criminal behavior to enforce our relationship.

Last point, for the most part, time spent between heterosexual men is either: 1. Activity oriented i.e. hunting, drinking, wingman, sports, etc. 2. Mission oriented i.e. business deal, networking I think prostitution, or more likely, strip clubs are just an activity.

Epstein is the exception, not the rule.

It's chemical and non-declarative, enforced by touching that would otherwise not happen. You both let your guards down. In Liaoning I once got drunk to the point where I almost got hit by a bus on a snowy night. My counterparty yanked my ass out of the way.pic.twitter.com/2dhrSo608x

Like I said, it's non-declarative, so I think it's hard to explain. We are all more likable when we're drunk because we all like people who are themselves and less buttoned up. I think I've made my point clear enough at this point.
