So far the best I can come up with is some sort of long term food log with the following categories: 1. Triggers: gluten, lactose, alcohol, blood sugar spikes, capsaicin, modern food i.e. aspartame, food that would be considered foreign to your ancestry i.e. corn to europeans.
Suppose for a moment that every individual has an ideal diet. How do you determine it?

2. Symptoms: dermatitis, diarrhea, brain fog, flatulence, burpulence, sleep disturbance 3. Conflating factors: exercise, sunshine, stress, sleep, food interactions, time lags, system adaptation, psychosomatic effects

Instead of supposing that you could take a fractal approach. Your log idea plus pool with people similar to you to check food foreign to your group at several scales. The last scale can be all humanity for recent stuff like synthetic food.

Fractal in the sense that I am looking at data from different sets of scale i.e. A. me < B. friends < C. studies < D. influenza seems to have killed many people
