networks are going online, but I would bet good money on the continued existence and thriving of industry towns like SF metro, especially for large scale tech cos (as opposed to fast cash flow focus ones).

Boulder’s unicorns are unrelated to CU though... Automattic is HQed in SF but is distributed. Many “SF startups” are “SF” in label which was exactly one of my pts. We will certainly see many more “Sf labeled” companies that started elsewhere or do most business elsewhere...
