Funny that when Genius was violating music publishers’ copyrights they were ‘lovable bad boys’ but when Google copies lyrics Genius doesn’t own they are evil
Genius was violating publishers' copyrights? I would think that user-generated explanations of lyrics would be fair use. This doesn't make sense to me.

Not that you're biased or anything :) I don't think Genius was doing any harm, to be clear, and I'm a user of the site. I just had to roll my eyes at the high dudgeon that article caused in some people on this site
