Explained to my 10 yo why ambitious people tend to have a higher ratio of ability/arrogance at 25 than 21. Real-world tests simultaneously decrease their arrogance and increase their ability.
Yeah that definitely happens as well. No doubt, when I got to university I was like "holy shit...everyone here is as smart as me or more!" but...entrepreneurially speaking, it's the wrong type of smart. It's a bookish/impractical intelligence that the market beats out of you.

Yep. There might even be a weak negative correlation to money-making talent at the highest range of IQ. The smartest people I know would make terrible entrepreneurs in most fields.

I believe it, for a host of reasons. EQ doesn't show up in IQ for example and it's huge. Buffett always says "all you need is 120", but that says easy, does hard.
