Yeah that is the one historical mine that remained open, more or less for strategic reasons.

As far as I know, rare earths aren’t rare. You just need to move a ton of dirt and cause a lot of environmental damage to process them, so reserve numbers probably not accurate

And you don't go around counting and looking for, what you can easily get from China cheaply...another reason why the reserves are bunk.
