I once watched a grandmother and her grandson paddle around in a canoe in the Connecticut river. "Why does the boat float, grandma?" "...because it's buoyant." Think about how many times you hear the word racist for every time it is defined and then think about how complex and nebulous of a concept racism is. It's staggering.
