Well, it might not be huge but most products still get a premium for a ‘made in USA’ stamp. No? For a few it could for MAGA reasons. For most, regardless if it’s true or not, it’s a proxy for higher quality manufacturing.
Varies highly by product. The Chinese have gotten so good that in most categories it doesn't matter. Food, medical, food contact, extremely young child stuff would be the major exceptions.

Makes sense. I, for one, am constantly impressed by the quality of products being manufactured in China, but would avoid those categories you mention.

And if you think about it, it's not even a quality issue. It's a well-earned "I don't trust the damned Chinese with their materials" issue. I would go as far as to say that on average American quality is worse than china's! The thing is, americans, outside of most industries,
