Didn't read the whole thing, just looked at the rwsults. Not apples to apples. Highly dependent on strictness of drug laws for example. We can solve this problem with capital punishment lol

True, there are many moving parts not covered by these stats. It might be more humane to have shorter sentences and have to re-convict more rather than keeping them in jail until they are older, mellow and less likely to be re-convicted. But the stats were still surprising.

More humane to them but with such high recidivism rates, it's less humane to society.
