Well holding a certain valuation for a window of time like this helps convince investors its really is worth that much. it basically 'anchors' expectations around valuation and improves believability (as strange as that may seem, it is true, and its why its in there)
Good point. Could 90 days be the lockup period for the vcs or something? Then, yeah, it's stupid and subject to market Beta risks, but it at least answers Cui Bono.
