They've hit their Moore Wall, like desktops and laptops and tablets did. Market is saturated, and new products not sufficiently better to drive upgrades. I could upgrade, but my Galaxy 7 still works fine, and the 10 isn't wildly different.
It's more like a feature/innovation wall. Afaik, processors still getting better every year in Mobile chips.

They are getting better, but they crossed that threshold of being good enough that the improvements aren't eye-popping. It's like desktop computing - I built a PC eight years ago, and aside from tossing in a new GPU, it still holds its own.
