Some things I've noticed: 1. Helps to have less sleep 2. Helps to have just done something like a run which increases your dopamine 3. Creativity is noticing, not necessarily solving. Anytime you say to yourself "hey, that's weird" or "Whoa" dig deeper

1. This is super harmful for other things though. I can't think or work if I'm sleep deprived. 2. It does give you more energy and maybe that translates to creativity somehow. 3. Yeah that's kind of what i meant above.

1/2 I think a big part of this is that you need to be a little stupid/irrational/overconfident in order to allow yourself to see connections where they may or may not be.
