(or are people having fewer children because they are living in cities!) - Outside the cost of land, services can be delivered to businesses much more efficiently in dense areas (not necessarily densely populated, but dense with supply chains), therefore cities have more jobs.
What am I missing here? What do I not understand? It's a strange thing, especially in the context of the internet. Why move to a city when you can just Netflix and chill.
I think there is governance making it possible --housing, utils, law enforcement, postal system, education --basics that create technical ability and cooperation, and social peer pressures -- all interplay with finance and economic factors
